Please note:

Grinding burrs should always be used with an inclination on the workpiece (min. 15°), in order to work with the highest possible circumferential speedrespectively cutting speed. This is particularly important for ball nose grinding burrs.For the machining of glass ceramic torus grinding burrs should be preferred to use if possible, because they have a higher tool life compared with the ball nose type. In order to avoid unnecessary high temperatures during machining, use as much coolant-lubricant (e.g. emulsion) as possible.

In general, always take account of the following when using grinding burrs:

  • High rotational speeds
  • High feed rates
  • Low infeeds
  • Use with inclination (min. 15°)
  • Work on the circumference
  • Cool well
